All of us would like to be healthier, to look better, and to live well both physically and spiritually. Living well is almost the entire world’s shared dream.
Global Wellness Day, this year celebrated 13 June, is an entirely not-for-profit day, a social project created by volunteers dedicated to living well.
The purpose of Global Wellness Day is to ask the question, even if for just one day, “How can I live a healthier and better life?”, to direct the thoughts of both individuals and society towards “living well” and to raise awareness.

90 minutes to come away from stress and come to yourself. A yoga class helping to balance the mind and the body by focusing on breath and strengthening the connection between mind, body and spirit. This class is suitable for beginners. Options will be available for people of different yoga experience.

The Silent Path at Kamalaya Gallery
A beautiful opportunity to meditate in a silent atmosphere. Kamalaya gallery will be open for this event with instructions provided by Kamalaya’s meditation and life enhancement mentors. In order to preserve a peaceful atmosphere, entrance will be restricted to every half hour.

Self-Massage Demonstration with Pla at Kamalaya Wellness Academy
Learn traditional Thai therapy techniques from the Head Practitioner at Kamalaya’s Wellness Training Academy. These demonstrations will begin with self-care exercises that help blood circulation and loosen muscles and joints. You will also learn how to use a tennis ball to massage and relieve target pressure points in the body.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Drop-In Clinic with Aaron & Hania at Yantra Hall
Stop by for a complimentary auricular acupuncture session with a Kamalaya TCM practitioner who will administer the standard five Needle Protocol treatment developed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. Utilized worldwide to help with detoxification, addiction disorders, and disaster relief, these five ear points are clinically shown to improve physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Treatments last 30-45 minutes, but anyone who cannot stay the full time will be accommodated. Out of courtesy to others please be mindful to quietly enter and exit the space.
The Kurotel in Brazil makes it a Global Wellness Week, celebrating health, wellbeing and healing with all its 150 employees for seven days to raise awareness and encourage more people to include healthier habits and attitudes into their lives.
Squeeze water bottles are being offered to all guests and employees to avoid the use of plastic bottles and motivate everyone to drink more water. Fitness experts will be spreading the word on the benefits of walking for an hour and inviting guests for guided walks at the outdoors. Most of the products used at the cuisine are already organic, but from June 8 to June 13 they make sure to use only natural organic products. While the nutritionists will motivate the guests to have more family dinners, the psychologists will talk about how good it feels when you do a good deed, as well as encourage more sleeping hours. Daily lectures on the benefits of the 7-step manifesto will be given too during the stated time.
On the big day June 13th, all guests and employees will be invited to walk for an hour in the green streets of Gramado, with a squeeze water bottle in one hand and an organic apple in other. Nutrition, health, beauty and fitness advice from Kurotel experts will guide the walk. In addition, there will be a couple of events with Yoga classes and nutrition advice open to the public.
The Orchard offers a Morning Wellness Walk within its 110 acres tropical paradise. Walk or jog on the tranquil plantation style estate and explore over 400 types of exotic fruit trees. Get the chance to see animals like deer or monkeys with the resort’s capable fitness instructor at your side. Outdoor morning awakening and energetic activation with Qi Gong – lead by Klaus Unterberger, sports scientist and mental coach: In front of the enchanting backdrop of the quaint lodge “Stöttlalm” overlooking the entire Inn Valley, followed by a healthy herbal tea. It’s a 30 minute walk there and back through a bright forest, with Nordic Walking poles on request. Meeting point: in front of the Hotel, max. 30 participants.

Lecture by Thomas Huber on “Motivation and Strategy “, max. 60 participants.

Lecture by our health trainer and fitness expert Wolfgang Aigner: new scientific facts on “Living Longer, Aging Later” (incl. 15 minutes Q&A with the audience). Content: Why do we age? Power sources of our energy and joy of living. Effort and benefit in regards to strength and agility training of muscles. Developing new habits and therefore reaching one’s goals by becoming aware of advantages. Max. 60 participants.

“Soft back training” with Wolfgang Aigner: Getting to know our body language and limits through the conscious and slow moving of muscles and joints.

In addition to participating in the Sound-Healing Concert, guests will be invited to try individual healing sessions with Maia de Loureiro, as he uses his voice with didgeridoos and crystals to align the sitter’s chakra.*
