As a child Dr Jurgen Klein was introduced to forest herbs by his grandfather. Even in poverty-stricken, post-war Germany, the value and magic of nature was clear to him. Based on this experience, he went on to delve into science, alchemy, chemistry, naturopathy, psychology and spirituality – all the while seeking to understand and unearth the true secrets of nature.
Moving to Australia in 1984, he founded the beauty brand Jurlique and became a pioneer in the field of health and wellness. In 2003 he sold his shares of Jurlique and moved to Hawaii, where Jurgen and his wife Karin created the tropical wellness and spa retreat Sullivan Estate.

I have been a fan of jurlique ever since finding some Jurlique shampoo in my mum’s bathroom back in 1988 after returning from travels in the Uk in my 20’s.
I became hooked on your original day care cream in the white tube with Navy logo. I’m hoping jurlique might consider making it again as a classic item.
If you have time, Are you able to let me know if it was 100% plant based or did it contain honey and beeswax like the current formula? I cannot remember if your original products were vegan friendly?
