Do you want to stop your loud and annoying snoring? You should pay attention to this guide on natural snoring remedies.

You see, snoring is not that simple. Some other people think that it is just something that they can shrug off. However, if I were you, you shouldn’t.

There are a variety of implications if you let this problem take over your evening.

Snoring can cause relationship issues, as nobody wants to sleep with someone who snores a lot. Furthermore, snoring can be a positive indicator of sleep apnea.

Luckily, there are a variety of options that you can try to cut off the noise when you are sleeping.

Here are some of the five natural snoring remedies that do indeed work.

Transition in Sleeping Position

Notably, one should be aware that sleeping positions do affect the frequency of snoring. Precisely, when you sleep on your back, your palate and tongue base are being shoved in the throat wall. This incident causes vibrations and noises.

You should consider using a supportive pillow to ensure that you can maintain this sleeping position.

To prevent this from happening, you should avoid sleeping on your back. Instead, sleep on your side. This would prevent the base of the tongue from collapsing to your throat.

If your snoring is caused by sleep apnea, ergonomic sleep amenities is necessary. It would help if you got a CPAP pillow for sleep apnea because it can help regulate your respiratory system.

Try to Lose Some Weight

Losing weight is a natural remedy for sleep apnea. It is not something that you have to do just because you want to get in shape. You should also do it if you have sleeping problems.

When you are overweight or if you have many pounds, you are more susceptible to snoring and sleep apnea. The tissues in your throat get thick. The fat can somehow put pressure in your airways and respiratory system.

These things elevate the risk factors of snoring. Therefore, it is your given responsibility to shed some weight. Try to exercise on a regular basis as it can feel good, too.

Having a healthy routine can benefit you in many aspects and facets.

Avoid Drinking Alcohol

There are many reasons why you need to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages. For one, alcohol disrupts your system. As a result, you might not be able to get a proper evening rest because of headaches and uneasiness.

Alcohol can make you prone to snoring.

Although the effect is not instantaneous, the damage that it can cause is long term. You don’t want this to happen, right?

When you have a terrible habit of drinking alcohol, the muscles in your throats get loose and shabby. The inevitable aftermath of this weakening is snoring. If there’s a social party that requires you to have some booze, make sure that you do it four hours before your bedtime.

Quit Smoking

Aside from alcohol, a person who snores a lot should avoid smoking. You should already be aware of the adverse effects of tobacco, especially on the throat, air passages, and the respiratory system. Breathing problems are doubled for those who love to puff their cigarettes.

quit smoking

When you smoke, you are damaging every part of your body. It is the very reason why smokers tend to be sickly. Aside from snoring problems, smoking also increases the risk factors of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

So, if you want none of these things to happen to you, make sure that you drop that stick already. It won’t do you any good. Trust me on that.

Elevate Your Head

You can fix your snoring problems by merely elevating the position of your head.

It is a trick that can produce immediate and significant improvements to your breathing problem.

When your head is elevated, the airways of your body is always open. Of course, when this happens, you have high chances of sleeping without disturbing yourself and other people.

Again, you will need the help of an ergonomic pillow for this remedy. Make sure that it is not too soft as it can plunge your head. The firmness should not be that hard either, as it can become uncomfortable on your part.

Wrapping it Up

Snoring is not something that you can ignore.

You cannot sleep well if there are disturbing sounds that are emanating within your bedroom. Much worse, you don’t want the sound coming from you!

These natural snoring remedies are among the most effective modes of eliminating the problem. If you don’t want to snore anymore, you should try one or two of these methods. I am pretty sure that they can help you get an undisturbed evening rest.

In our latest essay, Maria Ushakova traces Jung’s path of individuation, the slow work of coming to know your own depths, and asks what becomes of our mental health when we look for meaning only in comfort, recognition, and wealth.

Asked late in life whether he believed in God, Jung answered: „I don’t need to believe. I know.“ ✨

In a new conversation for Just Breathe Mag, Dr. Peter Moosbrugger of @sonnenberg.health.hotel explains why illness so often takes hold long before we feel it, and what it means to start listening to the body earlier.

Sonnenberg Health Hotel is a healing hotel set high in the Swiss Appenzell hills, 972 metres above the village of Schwellbrunn. Rooted in the Biological Medicine of Dr. med. Thomas Rau, it treats the body’s own ability to regulate and regenerate as the centre of every stay. Clean mountain air and deep quiet meet a purely plant-based, gluten-free kitchen and a medicine that looks for the cause rather than the symptom.

There is a quiet moment, somewhere after the secon There is a quiet moment, somewhere after the second or third day of fasting, when the body lets go of glucose and turns to ketones instead. Something shifts. Hunger softens. The mind clears. And the noise of constant eating gives way to a deeper kind of listening.

Just Breathe Mag’s latest article follows that shift with the physicians of Marienkron Retreat and Health Resort, Dr. Ulrike Göschl and Dr. Martin Krizmanits, who gently separate what fasting truly offers from the myths that cling to it: the fear of starvation, the harsh detoxes, the truth about coffee, and why longevity is less about how long we live and more about how fully.

Psychology, in its original meaning, is the study Psychology, in its original meaning, is the study of the soul.

Yet modern medicine speaks of neurobiology, hormones, emotional regulation, and inherited traits. The soul has quietly left the conversation.

In part three of her worldview therapy series, Maria Ushakova returns to the questions psychology set aside. What lies beneath instinct, feeling, affect, and desire? And where do the roots of psychological suffering truly begin?

A reflection on ontological tendencies and the layers of the psyche.
