New Year Intention for 2020 – A New You

Mind, Mindfulness December 30, 2019 Christelle Chopard

During this holiday season I invite you to take a moment of introspection.

We all had a year rich in experiences.

A completion of cycles with compassion and gratitude brings a profound healing sensation and clarity.

It opens the portal to pursue our journey with a sense of empowerment and wellbeing.

Numerology

2019 (numerology 3):  For many this year has been family oriented and a time for new ideas and connections. It has also been a year filled with challenges inviting to seek new directions.

2020 (numerology 4) is a time of conscientisation, organization and direction.

2019 has been a year with plenty of opportunities to transcend some habits and limitations giving space to dream and to explore new ways. 2020 is a perfect year to bring those inspirations into manifestation.

In the following are a few tips on how to select what to let go and what to take along to pursue the upcoming journey lightly.

Firstly, we need to clarify our intention. The intention is not an external goal based on expectations. If you think that someone will bring you happiness, you are bound to be dissapointed. Yet, if you will be happy to meet someone, then happiness is part of the experience.

Happiness is not a destination; it is a state of being that needs to be nurtured. The same is true with love, abundance, peace, or any other intention.

Intention is a frequency we wish to experience in our life. What we practice becomes our reality.

What is your intention?

You may write your intention in the center of a sheet of paper, and then organize answers to the following questions around your key word.

North: How has our health and wellbeing been this year? Has it been a prosperous year?

West: Which relationships have been the most significant? Have you been emotionally stable this year?

South: What have been your main motivations? Have you directed your attention towards what inspires you; taken leadership from the heart?

East: What were some key learning experiences?

Generell: What have been your hopes, dreams and illusions? How connected do you feel spiritually?

Reflection

After completion, take a moment to reflect on the map you just created. Observe those key aspects of your life from the perspective of your intention.

new year intention

Take a moment of meditation, with compassion, acceptance and gratitude and release any attachment and connect spiritually, balancing with the frequency of your intention.

A new perspective based on a positive intention towards the experiences of the year brings healing and clarity.

Time for celebration

new year sunrise

In this holiday season I invite you to unwrap your gifts and to navigate into the New Year with grace and inspiration.

The night of the New Year is a time of celebration. Through meditation, dance, movement, or other form of connection we may reach a blissful state of being, transcending all dimensions. When we access this “aha” moment, we feel a pure connection to one and to oneness. Our whole being is clear, open, in light.

The first sunrise of the year is an auspicious time to meditate, to visualize and to activate the frequency of our intention in all five elements, our vortex and the quantum field.

Ancestral wisdom and many spiritual paths invoke the cycles of the season and the earth. When the sun is rising it is a symbolic time to rise. When we live in alignment with nature’s rhythms, we also awaken our own true nature.

Create a Vision Board

You may take a moment to journal, creating a vision board.

  • In the center is our intention
  • Above us is the universal consciousness, divine source
  • Below us is the connection to the earth
  • Towards the East we place the material and physical aspect of manifestation
  • Towards the South we visualize an affirmation (mantra) for clarity in our mind
  • Towards the West we awaken our motivations and call for action.
  • Towards the North, we observe the emotional aspect and relationships.

Example:

Let your heart sing

Being well centered and in tune with the frequency of our heart influences not only ourselves, but also others around us. It is from a space of peace (your intention) that we experience peace (your intention). When we bring those qualities within our lives, we empower ourselves and others around us.

It is in this instant that we experience the shift within our minds and lifestyle. When we release the ego, we give space for the voice of the heart to sing.

Happy New Year, Happy New You!

Learn How to Meditate - 7 Simple Tips for Everyone Learn How to Meditate - 7 Simple Tips for EveryoneLearning how to meditate can be intimidating. But as with everything: practice makes perfect. In today’s article (link in bio), Lahra Tatriele shares 7 tips that will ease your journey:1. Before you start, put in your mind, “Meditation is attainable for me.” It is not difficult.2. Sit in a relaxed position for your body – on the floor or on a chair.3. Choose an object of focus that makes you feel good, e.g.: breathing, a mandala painting or a photo/image, etc.
Use this as a tool to bring harmony and love to your mind.
Use it as a way to bring about concentration and mindfulness4. Turn your vision inward and observe your breathing.
By observing your breathing, you will calm your mind naturally.
Observe the fickle-mindedness of your mind coming in and fading away, bringing about a steady concentration. Allow your concentration to turn into contemplation and slowly, you will forget about both yourself and any form, effortlessly blossoming into meditation.5. Become a source of love and light.
Once your calm mind is steady, let love permeate within you and around you like a radiant light.6. For healing, gently direct your thoughts to make your body healthy, alleviate your mind of stress, send your love to someone in suffering, etc.
Bring inner wisdom to your mind so that it becomes increasingly harmonious, and use this for healing the body, trauma or others in your life.7. Let go and let spirit in.
If you know how to meditate it will train your mind to become good, full of love – enough to heal yourself and others. Ultimately, there will be no Form, only Atma or soul in union with the Divine.Do you meditate regularly?
