The Manifestation of Peace
© Amy Treasure
Peace is the reflection of freedom of fear and absence of hostility. It is a state of harmony and a concept of nurturing healthy relations.
We all have the potential to bring more peace within our lives, within our relationships and into our world. On this International Day of Peace, I invite you to join our prayers and actions for peace.
As a godmother of the five elements, I communicate with nature since my early childhood. Along my journey I learned from indigenous leaders to honor and to respect all living beings.
When we are at peace with our environment and community, we experience harmony and wellbeing. Each and every step that we take on the earth is affecting all other beings – consciously or unconsciously.
The “psychological peace” is a precursor to establishing “behavioral peace”.
For a concept of global peace we take in consideration all the five elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether.
Peace of mind
The psychological peace is related to the air element. Cultivating peace in our mind requires a constant clearing of all judgement, expectations and attachments.
All people have their own believes. All cultures have their own ways. And all of them have some truth. When we respect all truths we experience harmony. It doesn’t mean that we have to change our own mind. We all have the freedom to think. We may honor our truth and beliefs while respecting the ones of others. Being educated about peace and educating others about it brings mindfulness to our communities.
May we focus on positive thoughts and intentions, visualizing peace within and all around.
Taking leadership for and in peace
The behavioral peace is a reflection of the fire element. We irradiate warmth and happiness when we behave in peace. Leaders observe that a peaceful way to express themselves reflect self-confidence and power. Feelings and ego sometimes interfere the peace leading people to act in hurtful ways. When we behave with compassion we feel strong and act with purpose. We manifest peace when we take leadership from the heart.
May we act with purpose, taking leadership to support actions of peace.
Peace in relations, protecting human rights with healthy values
In the water element we consider our emotions and relations. There are no positive or negative emotions.Rather, it is the way we choose to approach them that transforms the experience into one of the dualistic position.
Emotions can trigger fear because of their power. Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D. in “My stroke of insight: a brain’s scientist personal journey” shared that it takes 90 seconds for an emotion to move through our physical phase of an emotion. We may accept and learn to navigate these 90 seconds of profound experience with compassion.
Nurturing healthy peaceful relationships within us and around us generates a peaceful space for all.
May we relate and navigate through our emotions in a peaceful way, nurturing healthy relationships.
Manifesting Peace, protecting the rights of nature
We are all sharing the same earth. Pacha Mama, Gaia, Mother Earth is providing all the resources we need for a healthy life. Earth is fertile, creates constantly renewing energies and nurtures us unconditionally. We are all walking on the same earth. Each step we make influences us and others around us.
Why are we destroying this beautiful creation, with over consumption of her resources?
In the modern world we began to take ownership and to loose respect. Ancestral traditions and the indigenous of the lands remind us that the earth is everybody’s. It deserves care and appreciations. I invite everybody to plant a seed today as a symbol of peace.
May we protect the earth and all living beings, respecting each other’s space and sharing.
Universal Consciousness
When we transcend our fears, release stress, open our heart to a more universal consciousness, we access a sense of peace and oneness. We experience the ether element, the vortex that unifies us all in a grid of love, light and compassion.
May we open our hearts to the source of creation that connects us all.
We all breathe the same air
We all live below the same sun
We drink all from the same source of water
We all receive our resources from the same earth
We are all connected
Let’s make Peace
A Peace Ritual
- Create a peaceful space for meditation in which you include a representation of all five elements.
- A rock or plant
- A glass of water or shell
- A beeswax candle lit up with the intention of peace
- A feather and/or citation that reflects peace
- A crystal
- Sit comfortable and feel the connection to the earth, visualize peace and healing within your mind, within your heart, within your whole being.
- Visualize a Vortex of peace in white surrounding you; expanding like a ripple effect all around you. Bring the vision to expand all around your home, your family, your city, your country and community, your continent, the mountains and oceans and all around the world.
- After the visualization bring your attention towards your breath, your heart space and your body. Visualize a vortex of protection with a lavender color.
May we all join our intentions, prayers and actions in this International Say of Peace, and everyday.
