About the Moon Cycles & How to Use Their Energies Wisely

About the Moon Cycles & How to Use Their Energies Wisely

The moon influences life on earth in ways that may have seemed natural hundreds of years ago. Though, in the last centuries society began to distance itself more and more from the natural rhythm of life.

The full moon of September 2020 brings personal freedom, positive changes and exciting events.

The full moon of September 02, 2020, falls into the dreamy, ethereal and sensitive Pisces zodiac sign and also aligns harmoniously with Uranus; gifting us with a deep awakening energy. It also activates a lucky star, which brings new friends. So this is a great full moon for breaking up boredom and relieving stress caused by restrictions and frustrations. As this full moon it is the closest to the Fall equinox it is named the corn moon. It’s intention:

LOVE & PROSPERITY.

Here is a link to a simple guided meditation you may want to practice with us.

Living with according to the moon cycles

living according to the moon cycles

Since the first confinement in March, I have been in Switzerland and reconnecting with the rhythms of nature. We cut the hair in different moon phases depending on the intention. If we like them to grow faster we cut it during the waxing moon. If we would like our hair to grow stronger, we will do it during the waning moon.

Many farmers plant seeds during the new moon cycle. While harvesting would be during the waning moon. Full moon is an auspicious time to gather and to give thanks to Mother Earth, Gaia, for all the abundance.

The gravitational attraction between moon and earth causes the rising and falling of the sea. Since the moon influences such mechanisms of life on earth, some people believe that it also affects various aspects of physical and mental health. Here are some insights about the four main moon cycles, and some observations from a participant of our online lunar cycle 28-day immersions. A program with daily teachings and experiences for healing, creativity and mindfulness that we offer at each transition of season. All the teachings are based on nature’s healing vibrations.

  1. Waning Moon

This is an auspicious time to clear our space by detoxing, fasting, reseting our mind or clearing our desk. It is a time when we contemplate, introspect, reflect and re-evaluate for the future.

If we are in a context that requires constant action, it is still a good time to be selective and to let go what is not supporting the direction we are moving towards. That way the energy continues to flow; releasing obstacles along the way. The waning moon is a time to release attachments and is represented by the air element.

“Waning Moon: it was a time to create spaces and have greater clarity in my intention. My intention was Self-Confidence. I feel that it was a moment where I managed to clean DEEPLY what I had inside inhibiting it as I was leading an agitated life. I saw clearly that I needed to clarify my life. I did a detox for my body by juicing and following a healthy diet. I cleared my home and also reconsidered certain relationships and actions/distractions that were causing me stress.” M.

  1. New Moon

The new moon is a time when we nourish ourselves and others. The moon cycle for new beginnings, planting seeds and creating new goals.

new seeds

If the context involves other people and the continuation of a project, it is a good time to explore new ideas and to observe what can bring a sense of renewal, refreshing the image, the programs, or the communication. We plant new seeds for fertility and growth; reflection of the earth.

“My intention was self-confidence. I felt firm in planting my intention, I managed to connect deeply with it and visualize my professional purposes more clearly. I seek and experience more emotional balance as well.” M.

  1. Crescent Moon

During the crescent moon cycle, we should focus the attention on creative projects. It is a time for empowerment, expansion and solidification.

If you are experiencing a downtime during this moon cycle, I would still recommend to focus on your creativity. Healing art keeps the energy moving and the moments of relaxation will be focused towards nurturing and restoring our body and mind.

“My intention was CLARITY. I noticed that, as I progressed, the doubts about my professional projects were being cleared. I am opening the connection with my feminine energy. I attend to the needs of my body and my relationships both with others and with myself.” M.

  1. Full Moon

During this period of the month, the energy is high and bright like the fire – perfect for integration, contentment and realization. Some people observe a hypersensitivity and difficulty to sleep or to concentrate.

full moon cycle

We notice more intense transitions in the sea level (tides) during the the full moon cycle.

“My intention was CLARITY- LOVE. In this last phase I noticed my change in terms of my connection in meditation, how I felt the energy flow and how my magnetic field was more solid and how safe and protected I feel in it. I managed to connect with myself and with others with more clarity and love.” M.

The aether is the space of integration at the completion of all moon cycles:

“I feel grateful, and with great satisfaction for having perceived in me, changes in all aspects. I have been taking action and my relationships have improved. Also, I noticed more integrity in my thoughts and a true firmness on my ground. I observe more balance and more control in my life.” M.

Lunar energies relating to emotions and instincts reach their peak at the full moon. So use your emotional strength and your deepest intuition to overcome any relationship challenges. The subconscious consciousness allows for an impartial and balanced look at your personal relationships.
