Beginnings are Everything

Food for Your Soul, Soul January 5, 2022 Claudia Roth
Beginnings are Everything

We are witnessing a disempowerment and weakening of the old-world paradigm that is making way for the emergence of a new era.

Once we recognise and accept that we are in a phase of transition, it may not feel so strange that we have a sense of inhabiting two worlds. Are we living through a Great Awakening? What is it and what does it mean?

According to Newtonian physics it is not possible for one object to be in two places at the same time. But if we apply the laws of quantum physics, it is. So, could it be that as we straddle paradigms, we are spanning the old and the new at the same time?

These two paradigms vibrate at different levels; you can call the old paradigm fear, worry, lack, scarcity, not enough (jobs, freedom etc.). The new is a more humble, satiating energy of connection, non-material, abundance, love, contentment and self-validation. These extremes create environments of confusion and bewilderment, we feel torn, frustrated, and angry.

In case you wonder what I am referring to, I have written about the shift and the Great Awakening already, touching on the complexities of emotional pain & suffering that it brings, but I reiterate that in the chaos we experience much of it has to do with intuition and sensing; rather than anything outwardly and rationally proven. And this is the complexity. How can we believe something if we haven’t experienced it and it cannot be scientifically proven? How can we trust that in the chaos there is a New Earth, a new way of living awaiting us?

If it seems impossible to change, know you are resisting.

Darkness is the absence of light

The pandemic has thrown the world – pretty much as a whole – into myriads of complexities that have provoked and aggravated inner and outer conflict.

Some of the inner conflict arises from outdated values where we have become complacent in our views and beliefs and adapted the fear culture sacrificing our own sovereignty. For many the pandemic has allowed profound questioning which has compelled them to really get a sense of who they are.

Suffering can help us gain access to a part in us which guides us to a deeper inner knowing.

What I am invited to ask myself is, where have I been an accomplice in shaping the fear-based values that so continue to dominate our world?

Most people have suffered but if we can feel that we are no longer the actors in this drama but the ones bearing witness to it, a vaster field opens. If we choose how to respond rather than react, we gain access to the peace and stillness within ourselves.

Michael Beckwith says “The only authority you have is the authority of your own conviction. It is the authority you can’t outsource. Your attention has to be on what kind of life you want to live.”

The Meaning of Transitioning

new beginnings

This past year I have studied A Course in Miracles with Marianne Williamson. It has been and continues to be an extraordinary journey. Allowing me to experience the full year in a manner that would not have been possible without it. I am grateful to Marianne and to myself for following an instinct and to find my anchor while the entire world was thrown into chaos.

Committing to a spiritual discipline can help us stay in our power (I am not referring to ego power but a power of love and self-reliance). As I have discovered myself the path of change and transformation is a fragile one. If we don’t expand our awareness, we risk remaining stuck and suffering keeps us prisoner.

The daily aspect of a practice is important. Human beings need to hear something many times for it to sink into conscious awareness. Routine and repetition are our friend as we evolve our awareness and adjust our default setting.

Imagine a brick wall that needs to be broken down before you are allowed to enter the sacred ground that it hides. Then imagine your own conditioning in the same manner. Conditioned beliefs are as difficult to tear down as a brick wall.

Are you ready to break down your own belief-brick-wall and open your mind and heart to what the year 2022 wants to offer you?

Marianne Williamson’s course is an example of routine and repetition. Her daily guided practice has taken me by the hand and allowed me, through fear and breakthroughs, to keep questioning my deeply integrated beliefs toward a more aligned perspective of who I truly am. Ever so gently I am opening myself to my own sacred ground. The brick walls are slowly falling by the wayside. Seeing through my beliefs has changed my life, for the better.

Transitioning is a dying of sorts; a disappearing of the old to make space for the new. Therefore, as we transition from the year 2021 to 2022 – I encourage you to think of leaving any limiting beliefs behind to make space for what the new paradigm wants to offer to you: Ask yourself some contemplative questions:

  • What does transitioning mean to me?
  • Where do I feel limited or stuck?
  • When do my fears show up? Do I observe a pattern?
  • How can I open to change?
  • What support do I need?

As you continue to shift and transition don’t be surprised if you feel anger or frustration these can be signs pointing to an inner awakening. Remember breaking down a brick wall can be painful physically. It’s the same emotionally.

Living Love, not Fear

Find proof of your own compassion and empathy. See how these are a force for good. Let the warm light of you spread like a beacon of hope. Your soul wants to be of service to others, make sure to take good care of yourself, your avatar in this life, that it may indeed be exactly what is right for you.

Accepting and assuming your responsibility in all that is going on right now, decide where you stand. Are you hopeful for what is to come? Can you feel the new reality that we are on the verge of stepping in to? Choose love and commit to making the most of your new reality. Take one step at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

The Light within

There is so much beauty around us and in particular within us, I encourage you to trust in the light of that beauty in you. 2022 is a year of transition. We are in the middle of an evolutionary shift, in the birthing canal to higher consciousness and to a New Earth.

We are guided away from a self-centred ‘ME’ society to a collective (swing that ‘M’ on its head) ‘WE’ towards Oneness and Universal Love. Here is to the emergence of a new world order. It will take time; lean into its’ strength and shine your light brightly.

With light from my heart to your heart,

Claudia

Learn How to Meditate - 7 Simple Tips for Everyone Learn How to Meditate - 7 Simple Tips for EveryoneLearning how to meditate can be intimidating. But as with everything: practice makes perfect. In today’s article (link in bio), Lahra Tatriele shares 7 tips that will ease your journey:1. Before you start, put in your mind, “Meditation is attainable for me.” It is not difficult.2. Sit in a relaxed position for your body – on the floor or on a chair.3. Choose an object of focus that makes you feel good, e.g.: breathing, a mandala painting or a photo/image, etc.
Use this as a tool to bring harmony and love to your mind.
Use it as a way to bring about concentration and mindfulness4. Turn your vision inward and observe your breathing.
By observing your breathing, you will calm your mind naturally.
Observe the fickle-mindedness of your mind coming in and fading away, bringing about a steady concentration. Allow your concentration to turn into contemplation and slowly, you will forget about both yourself and any form, effortlessly blossoming into meditation.5. Become a source of love and light.
Once your calm mind is steady, let love permeate within you and around you like a radiant light.6. For healing, gently direct your thoughts to make your body healthy, alleviate your mind of stress, send your love to someone in suffering, etc.
Bring inner wisdom to your mind so that it becomes increasingly harmonious, and use this for healing the body, trauma or others in your life.7. Let go and let spirit in.
If you know how to meditate it will train your mind to become good, full of love – enough to heal yourself and others. Ultimately, there will be no Form, only Atma or soul in union with the Divine.Do you meditate regularly?
