Why You Don’t Want to Set New Year’s Resolutions Just Yet

It feels we are already well into the New Year. Culturally, for many, it is common to set New Year’s resolutions whether it is to change our diet or do more exercises or something else. We are motivated and determined as we start out the New Year.
But this month of January is asking us to allow time for exploration rather than setting expectations.
During 2022 – 2024 we will see major changes in society, in politics and how we life our daily lives. The “old” continues to crumple. Holding on to a vision in the midst of evolutionary transformation is likely to lead to some form of struggle. Compare it with swimming upstream in a river. For sure you will be able to swim against the current for a while but eventually nature will take over and will give you signs that struggling against natural forces is a sure way of defeat. Rather than swimming upstream you want to float in the river, be present and curious where the currents take you and observe what was previously out of your sight.
A New Perspective on New Year’s Resolutions
You are asked to drop your expectations and prepare yourself to harness that what you truly want in February and onwards. It’s a time of inner and outer cleanse. Step inwards and look at your life, assess what is working for you and what isn’t. Be honest with yourself. Lean into your courage and make changes. Sometimes a small shift in perspective is all what is needed.
This guided meditation will help you to let go of subconscious beliefs which stop you to float freely in the river of change and transformation.
From my heart to your heart,
