Dr. Carlo Sturani
Carlo Sturani is a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Bologna with a specialization in Pulmonary Diseases, Intensive Care and Internal Medicine.
He is Co-author of more than 150 publications in domestic and foreign journals, books, book chapters, and proceedings of congresses. He has been Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Bologna University (1982-1991) and Parma University (1992-2011).
He is a member of the European Respiratory Society.
His major areas of interest are chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, inhaled therapy and integrated care for chronic diseases. He has been one of the major researchers for developing the home sleep and assisted ventilation service, for acute in hospital non invasive ventilation (NIV) and weaning of patients with prolonged ventilator dependence.
He is the Scientific Director of Terme di Sirmione since 2015.
