Healing Trapped Emotions
© The Retreat Costa Rica
Lets get to the heart of the matter; a detail that sometimes we forget along our path to healing. We so quickly take the symptoms of our dis-ease into consideration, whether it is mind, body or even the esoteric (soul), but seldom do we get to the point.
The point is simple really, our thoughts and trapped emotions that have not been healed are causing our inflicted pain.
Each organ stores an emotion
HEART
Emotion is joy. Trapped emotions cause lack of enthusiasm and vitality, mental restlessness, depression, insomnia, despair, confusion, anxiety, fidgeting, easily startled.
SPLEEN
Emotion is worry, over thinking. An emotion out of balance causes dwelling or focusing too much on a particular topic, excessive mental work.
LUNG
Emotion is sadness. Trapped emotions cause excessive sadness, grief, or detachment, uncontrolled crying.
KIDNEYS
Emotion is fear. An emotion out of balance causes fear, no willpower, insecure, aloof, isolated.
LIVER
Emotion is anger. Trapped emotions cause explosive anger, resentment, frustration, irritability, bitterness, moodiness.
GUT
Epicenter of our emotional universe. Healing the gut begins the spinning wheels of positive influence on all other functions in the body.
Our emotional body
Dis-ease is the symptom, whether it be a minor symptom of aches and pains, or it is a cancerous growth. Dis-ease is anything out of alignment, toxic or imbalanced in the system that causes discomfort.
Trapped emotion, or lack of flow, energetic ‘stuckness’ is the diagnoses, a prognosis with huge potential for resurrection and healing.
All healing begins in the gut, and then creates emotional flow and movement toward internal healing.
Healing foods is the prescription, an easy way to begin the healing process is to begin in the gut, start by changing the diet, removing the foods that cause the body harm and add in more foods that do the body good. This is simpler than one may think, as we over analyze and try too hard, when really asking the body what it needs is the best way to know what to feed it.
Our emotional body is the overall make up of who we are. Our thoughts and feelings dictate the physical aspects of our being. By healing the gut first, we open to more positive behaviors and thoughts which begin to cycle and permeate every aspect of our lives.
And like anything in life, we take it one day at a time, and each day make a choice toward consistency and happiness.
