Today’s world is more confusing than ever. Most of us would love to do “the right thing”, meaning to make choices that are ethical; choices that are not killing our planet and every living thing on it.

Unfortunately, animal testing is still very common, although the value of the results and the necessity of these tests are very questionable:

A staggering 106,000 people die yearly from drugs tested safe on animals.

As we cannot rely on our governments to protect us, and of course also the animals used, from animal cruelty, a small charitable organization called the Rescue + Freedom Project created an App that allows you to scan products and get an immediate response about it’s animal-testing status.

Using this App may offer some challenges, as your beloved Makeup might not be cruelty free. But it may give you some pleasure to roam the beauty department for the perfect new blush; it could be the color you were searching for forever, and on top of that it also provides you with a genuine feeling to have some control in this crazy maze that is our life.

This is a recipe created especially for Shrove Tue This is a recipe created especially for Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day, but World Vegetarian Day is also the perfect day to enjoy these Gluten-free Citrus Polenta Pancakes. Right?You will need:
🥞½ cup polenta
🥞30 g rice flour
🥞Pinch salt
🥞1 egg
🥞½ cup rice milk
🥞1 orange or lemon, zest and juice
🥞30g melted butter
🥞1 dessertspoon coconut oil for fryingMethod:
- Mix together all dry ingredients.
- Beat the egg, then add in the melted butter and milk.
- Fold in the dry ingredients. Mix until just blended. Fold in the orange juice and zest.
- Allow to rest for 10 minutes before frying.
- Melt some coconut oil in a skillet on medium high. Dollop in about 1/2 cup of batter.
- Wait for the bubbles to appear and begin popping, then flip over the pancake.
