Healing the Past

Anxiety, stress and depression have become our modern-day illnesses.

People feel overwhelmed by increased responsibilities and demands on their time and resources. Pressure is felt at work, from financial commitments and family responsibilities. Life is fast-paced and ever-changing. We have to keep up with technology and social media.

At the root of stress is fear. We fear not having enough, not doing what we want to do, not being who we think we should be. The news media bring world issues into our living rooms, over-stimulating the mind, creating nervous energy. The fears that rise aren’t always your fears, they are societal fears.

Beyond fear, within each of us, is a space of innate well-being and peace.

All consciousness is connected. As you let go of your own fears and limiting beliefs, you also help to heal the family and the world. By healing the past, you can experience joy and open up to your higher gifts and express your true potential.

Mysterious Facts about your Emotions

They’re More Real than Thoughts

Emotions are subtle messages offering great personal insight and wisdom.

Feelings rise from a place of your authentic self. Anger, for example, can mean that someone may have overstepped a boundary and that it may be time to re-assert yourself. Anxiety tells us that the mind is focusing on what we don’t want to happen, rather than what we do want. Sadness and depression can be the result of unexpressed anger, now turned inward. If this continues, it eventually impacts the body physically.

They’re All Linked

Emotions are stored in the mind like clusters of types (e.g. anger or fear), so they accumulate and grow stronger. The bag gets full. When you experience a new event causing you fear, it brings up all past fears. In Transformational Therapy, we look for the root cause; the start of the cluster. Then we can get to the bottom of it and release the entire cluster. The result is a good cleanse, the bag gets emptied and you feel light, at peace and you can move ahead.

It’s Unconscious

The unconscious mind represses memories with unresolved negative emotions. These could be emotionally traumatic events. It does this for your own protection; to help you get through your day or get on with life. People may think they’ve dealt with it, but instead they’ve packed it away. Stored emotions are chemicals in the cells (like stress hormones) and can create physical discomfort and health conditions over time.

emotions and fear

Fear – our most basic instinctual emotion

Fear can be triggered by our basic survival instincts and need for safety and security.

The old reptilian brain triggers the fight or flight response. This brain was useful at a time when we lived in a jungle where survival was its main motivation. We are now evolving beyond this fear-based worldview. It has become obsolete. Fear is an illusion that now exists mostly in the mind.

All healing is a release of fear.

Practice a daily reflection

Every experience, even the challenges and so-called mistakes, have been part of your growth. To stay emotionally healthy you can do your own daily reflection, with compassion to yourself:

  • What was good about today?
  • What was not so good?
  • What am I learning from it?
  • What can I do different next time?
  • Then after your reflection, let it go.

You will feel a weight lifting and the release can be very healing.

Beyond Fear is Love

The old instinctual brain can still trigger for no reason.

It’s up to us now to choose between the way of fear or the way of love. Through choice and disciplined thought, the old reactive brain can be de-energized and the higher brain of creativity, consciousness, health, joy and wisdom can be energized and strengthened. We can now end the reactive struggle and willfully train the brain to facilitate enlightened consciousness. Recognize the fear response and the old suffering program, intentionally de-energize it and open up to love, creativity and wisdom – your true natural state. We are making a shift in consciousness. We are evolving in wisdom to higher awareness of connectivity, community, wellbeing, love, joy and enlightenment.

Do you believe you can do it?

challenge your beliefs

Beliefs develop as we grow up and become embedded in the unconscious mind at a young age. Typical limiting beliefs are: I can’t do it; I’m not good enough; What if I fail?; What will people think?; I don’t deserve it; It takes hard work.

It takes a bit of soul-searching to bring any limiting beliefs into our conscious awareness and challenge them. Once uncovered, they are easy to challenge because they are based on an illusion; a false belief about your true capabilities. That sets you free to adopt the kind of beliefs that you want to live by; empowering beliefs that enable you do what you want to do from a place of joy, expansion, creativity and inspiration.

Shifting from fear to love means you are evolving into your fullest potential. You have infinite creative potential inside you and the gifts to express it in your own unique way. You have an inner wisdom and a wealth of resources to tap.

The Link Between Emotions, Health and Success

Your health and success depend on your willingness to:

  • Embrace and flow with the emotions you experience.
  • Learn from the experience, then let it go.
  • Practice forgiveness, gratitude and positive intention.
  • Remain light-hearted.
  • Remain vision and purpose driven.

A New Beginning

Having healed the past, you have a clean slate from where you can create afresh. You can own your creative power and use it purposefully to create your desired outcomes. Create positive, empowering intentions. Make this the time of your life you claim your inner gifts and express your own uniqueness masterfully.

Learn How to Meditate - 7 Simple Tips for Everyone Learn How to Meditate - 7 Simple Tips for EveryoneLearning how to meditate can be intimidating. But as with everything: practice makes perfect. In today’s article (link in bio), Lahra Tatriele shares 7 tips that will ease your journey:1. Before you start, put in your mind, “Meditation is attainable for me.” It is not difficult.2. Sit in a relaxed position for your body – on the floor or on a chair.3. Choose an object of focus that makes you feel good, e.g.: breathing, a mandala painting or a photo/image, etc.
Use this as a tool to bring harmony and love to your mind.
Use it as a way to bring about concentration and mindfulness4. Turn your vision inward and observe your breathing.
By observing your breathing, you will calm your mind naturally.
Observe the fickle-mindedness of your mind coming in and fading away, bringing about a steady concentration. Allow your concentration to turn into contemplation and slowly, you will forget about both yourself and any form, effortlessly blossoming into meditation.5. Become a source of love and light.
Once your calm mind is steady, let love permeate within you and around you like a radiant light.6. For healing, gently direct your thoughts to make your body healthy, alleviate your mind of stress, send your love to someone in suffering, etc.
Bring inner wisdom to your mind so that it becomes increasingly harmonious, and use this for healing the body, trauma or others in your life.7. Let go and let spirit in.
If you know how to meditate it will train your mind to become good, full of love – enough to heal yourself and others. Ultimately, there will be no Form, only Atma or soul in union with the Divine.Do you meditate regularly?
