Being in Your Own Presence – Finding a New You

More people gaining a deeper understanding of who they truly are. We are in a birthing process and recreating a new kind of life – a new you. In this, the second of a four-part mini-series on practical aspects relating to living in the new age of Aquarius, I want to take a closer look at why and how to spend time in your own presence.
Feel into your Vision
First, let me quote Victoria Fuller of Queen of Retreats:
“They say that the best way to inspire others is by showing them the way, and in my case, having spent thirty years in luxury travel, an industry now on its knees, I want to use the retreat model to re-imagine how we travel. My work now is to open the world up to the potent benefits of retreating – turning life inwards, changing our reference, creating nourishment, discernment, kindness, connection and joy.”
Most people might say that investing in travel at this point in time, as Victoria is doing, equals being fool hardy. I find it inspiring that someone can so feel into themselves and follow their vision no matter what.
In 2020 many people saw their lives turn upside down and were forced to turn inwards into themselves. If one of them was you, spending more time with yourself did you like what you saw? Or did something else start to take shape? Perhaps a new vision, new creative ideas, or new thought patterns guiding you to shift perspectives?
The Lockdown Blessing
Spending more time with yourself as opposed to spending time “superficially socialising” is both a lesson and a blessing. I bet the same can be said for having spent more time – perhaps at times more than we would have wished for with our nearest and dearest – has been testing for you too. This new relationship with yourself has perhaps guided you to seeing and valuing your own needs. It is an intimate process of getting to know yourself on a deeper level.
And yet, being confined with those very people, family most often, perhaps you received a lesson in the importance of kindness, patience and deeper connection.
As everything is crumbling around us and a little crumpled up within us, we seek stability. Trusting ourselves, our family and those who are close to us, our hearts can open to experience our connection to others more deeply.
The Importance of Stillness
Could it be that after living through the year 2020,
you feel naturally drawn to more stillness in your life?
This is something to cherish, not something to look down upon. The age of Aquarius signifies an upgrade in one’s consciousness. According to various scientific studies, the planet’s frequency (also known as the Schumann resonance) has also increased.
Why does this matter and what is the Schumann resonance?
There is a great deal of electrical activity between the surface of the earth and the ionosphere, the shell of electrons and electrically charged atoms and molecules that surrounds the earth. Electromagnetic waves circle the earth from a height of about 50 km to more than 1,000 km. Some of the waves – if they have just the right wavelength – combine and increase in strength to create a standing wave. These standing waves are known as Schumann resonances.
So why is the Schumann resonance important? Because some researchers believe that it has an effect on our bodies, minds and consciousness.
The normal Schumann resonance frequency is 7.83 Hz, the frequency of our slightly meditative state. But in January 2017 it reached above 36 Hz, whereas normally a rise above 15 Hz was considered large. In 2019 several peaks were noted, with a record December 6th frequency of 158 Hz.
The Schumann resonance is a huge topic to explore. Elizabeth Peru, an intuitive reader of energies including those of the planets, likens it to the heart beat or the aura of the earth. She points out that not only does it affect us but we affect it too.
“Earth is morphing – vibrating at a higher frequency, as it moves into a higher-consciousness wave pattern – from 3D into 5D. And because brain wave states of all sentient beings are triggered by Earth’s resonance, we all shift – together. Earth’s frequency is rising, which means its particles are spinning faster, becoming lighter, and that means so are we.”

Going through a shift is always a death of a kind. Your beliefs are being questioned and that can hurt. Who are you without your beliefs?
Then, it can help to know that a belief is nothing more than your assumptions about what is real or true to you. To grasp and integrate such understandings requires stillness.
With the world gone topsy-turvy, it is even more crucial that you are clear on what is real or true to you at that point in time. But how to access your own truth and to know it?
The role of your Heart
We are gradually opening ourselves to trusting our hearts. For many this may be a new concept, as you may have identified the heart as an organ rather than also as an energy centre.
The heart is the pathway to intuition and to our truth. We are gently guided now to feel into our truth, to speak our truth, to live our truth.
Learning to trust our heart intelligence is the compass which can guide us through turmoil and a continuously changing life, to an unknown future.
The importance of Honesty
Let us be clear:
The pain comes from being truly honest with yourself.
Right now the energies are in favour of you assessing yourself with a new degree of honesty. It no longer suffices to run away from your own self.
After all, what is the point of being in stillness if you will not meet your real self in that space?
It’s in this deeply personal and intimate space of your own awareness that real life happens. Life doesn’t happen outside. It happens in that inner space of your own self.
Will you allow yourself, as you are, to go forward? Are you ready to walk to where your mind has no reference point, yet?
Faith and your heart may take you there
For most people going with the flow of the shift, the higher frequencies will only be possible with faith – and I don’t mean religious faith. How else can you allow yourself to (willingly!) step into the space of not-knowing that is available to us now on an unprecedented scale?
Can you trust yourself?
Or: How could you not trust your own heart intelligence, always there.
Explore your own faith with curiosity. Approaching it, you may be surprised at how easily you are able to let go of constantly and instantly attaching meaning to your beliefs.
With each new thought form that reaches your brain, what is it pointing to? Sometimes, often in stillness, it is possible to feel the shift into a new way of believing, or rather being. It can feel like a switch has been flicked, just as strong. I can’t really be more specific. It is always an individual experience.
You will know when it happens.
Do not feel discouraged if you are as hopeful for progress. There are indeed many traps laid out around us now, and it is only natural to fall into them. The question is, will you set yourself free?
One trap is attachment to following the media. Just know that if remaining too addicted, you can still choose to accept a turning point.
If you have been reading such far you are ready to embrace a new form of higher consciousness. It may still not be instant. Try to stay open, but at the same time discerning about what not to stay open to. I know this is a paradox, but sometimes a paradox is all that we have – especially in the early part of our inner journey. Stay open, but do protect yourself from attachments, people, stories that can be their own kind of virus in your environment.
Continue your inner journey in spite of the pitfalls of feeling sorry for yourself, that your happiness depends on what happens on the outside, and whatever trials and tribulations and traps your mind gives you to face.
You are attracting your own future, feeding it with your faith, feeding yourself in stillness. You are creating it in every moment, thought by thought.
That this is the moment that you had envisioned for yourself. And you know that you only have to allow yourself to rise higher in your own perception of what is unfolding.
Group energy can help accelerate the energy of congratulating yourself on your victories or helping you on your climb. Who is walking alongside you on this path?

And welcome any new vision, new creative ideas, or new thought patterns that come to you. Perhaps like Victoria Fuller, act on them too.
Here is a final exercise to help you keep grounded and in your own presence, because to keep your vibration high and rising it is important to remain grounded in your body. This exercise is best practiced in nature, but if it is not possible to stand against a tree, imagine that you are doing so.
Here it goes:
Stand against a tree. Connect yourself to your “Earth Star”. This is an energy centre about 50 centimetres below the soles of your feet i.e. beneath the surface of the Earth (yes, this too you can feel). Feel into Mother Earth and share with her: “In the space where I stand, I am grounded and protected.”
