A Special Gift During the Holidays: 5-Days of Gratitude

The year 2020 has been quite a rollercoaster. Whether you became stronger and more trustful through the year, or weaker and maybe more fearful, our emotions have been moved intensely. A moment of pause to balance the elements within will bring a profound sensation of release and connection. This is why we would like to invite you to experience the healing and nurturing power of Gratitude.

The five elements

Sadhguru, an Indian yogi and author, says: “How well organized the five elements are in your system decides how firm and stable and organically strong this body is. 72% of the body is just Water, 12% is Earth, 6% is Air, 4% is Fire and the remaining 6% is Space.”

The intention through these 5 days of gratitude is to purify, to align and to activate each of the 5 elements: air, fire, water, earth and ether. This program is a gift of gratitude for your participation and engagement in a journey of healing and wellbeing.

Setting up your space

We highly recommend you to have a “gratitude journal” close by during these 5 days. We will initiate the journaling process on day 1 with some suggestions and you may want to continue this beautiful practice even after.

gratitude journal

Are you more of a morning or an evening person? Choose a time of day that will suit your internal wellbeing best to get the most out of your daily practice? When looking for an appropriate space, look for an especially peaceful area in your home. A space where you can be undisturbed and just for yourself for a little while. Light a candle and maybe burn some incense. Make this your sanctuary. Also, please remember to drink enough water to remain well hydrated.

About the 5 days

“The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness.”
— Dalai Lama

We will be sharing the 5 classes (individual videos) on our social media, day by day from the 14th to 18th of December. If you like to receive a notification each day please fill up the contact form here: http://dharmi.com/contacts/

The daily 15min videos include: teachings, pranayamas (breathing techniques), mudras (yoga of the hands), mantras (chants), and a suggested exercises to implement during the day.

Each day will be focused on a specific element for purification, alignment and activation:

Day 1, Air Element:

A time to be grateful in our thoughts, in our communication, in our breath with some specific exercises to support the process. Experience Day 1 HERE.

Day 2, Fire Element:

A time to be grateful in our actions, taking leadership with benevolence with some specific pranayamas and visualizations to uplift your fire and motivation. Experience Day 2 HERE.

Day 3, Water Element:

That day we focus on the water element, being grateful in our relationships and channeling our emotions creatively. With some exercises to purify and to magnetize the water element. Experience Day 3 HERE.

Day 4, Earth Element:

We will ground ourselves by being grateful to mother earth. I will share tools to connect with the earth in gratitude through pranayamas, mudras and other exercises. Experience Day 4 HERE.

Day 5, Ether Element:

On this day 5, we express gratitude in oneness, in space. A quantum experience in gratitude. We surrender to the sensation within and all around us. Experience Day 4 HERE.

Your best way to value this program is with your own participation and by sharing it with the people around you to make this experience available for all in this holiday season.

We look forward to sharing this experience together from the comfort of our homes.

With benevolence and gratitude,

Christelle

In our latest essay, Maria Ushakova traces Jung’s path of individuation, the slow work of coming to know your own depths, and asks what becomes of our mental health when we look for meaning only in comfort, recognition, and wealth.

Asked late in life whether he believed in God, Jung answered: „I don’t need to believe. I know.“ ✨

In a new conversation for Just Breathe Mag, Dr. Peter Moosbrugger of @sonnenberg.health.hotel explains why illness so often takes hold long before we feel it, and what it means to start listening to the body earlier.

Sonnenberg Health Hotel is a healing hotel set high in the Swiss Appenzell hills, 972 metres above the village of Schwellbrunn. Rooted in the Biological Medicine of Dr. med. Thomas Rau, it treats the body’s own ability to regulate and regenerate as the centre of every stay. Clean mountain air and deep quiet meet a purely plant-based, gluten-free kitchen and a medicine that looks for the cause rather than the symptom.

There is a quiet moment, somewhere after the secon There is a quiet moment, somewhere after the second or third day of fasting, when the body lets go of glucose and turns to ketones instead. Something shifts. Hunger softens. The mind clears. And the noise of constant eating gives way to a deeper kind of listening.

Just Breathe Mag’s latest article follows that shift with the physicians of Marienkron Retreat and Health Resort, Dr. Ulrike Göschl and Dr. Martin Krizmanits, who gently separate what fasting truly offers from the myths that cling to it: the fear of starvation, the harsh detoxes, the truth about coffee, and why longevity is less about how long we live and more about how fully.

Psychology, in its original meaning, is the study Psychology, in its original meaning, is the study of the soul.

Yet modern medicine speaks of neurobiology, hormones, emotional regulation, and inherited traits. The soul has quietly left the conversation.

In part three of her worldview therapy series, Maria Ushakova returns to the questions psychology set aside. What lies beneath instinct, feeling, affect, and desire? And where do the roots of psychological suffering truly begin?

A reflection on ontological tendencies and the layers of the psyche.
