How to Tune Into Your Universal Intelligence
© Jeremy Bishop
Have you ever had a hunch or a gut-feeling? Those moments where you know you know something but you don’t exactly know how you know?
This happens to all of us from time-to-time. Often, these experiences are disregarded as chance or happenstance. But what if there is more to these coincidences than meets the eye? And, by the way, there is more. So much more.
Learning to tune into these inspired moments and finding the guidance within them can be an empowering way for you to move through the world with a little more ease. Recognizing that moments of universal intelligence, clarity and awareness, of something bigger than what we can see and rationalize, bring more connection to the inner-wisdom that exists within you. Within all of us.
These experiences are your intuition in action.
The word intuition can create resistance for some people. You may have been brought up to believe that truth lies only in the solid world around that you can see, feel and touch. You may have been conditioned to believe that there is something wrong with connecting into an unknown source of wisdom. As if the act of leaning into your inner-knowing is somehow dangerous or wrong.
What can be more empowering that trusting the answers you seek are truly within you?
When you connect to this inner knowing, this universal intelligence, you stop looking outside for opinions, advice, and “expert” views for validation. You start to follow your internal compass and the choices that often come from this can, and usually, will surprise and delight you.
This is a practice.
Aligning with, and listening to, your intuition takes time and patience. Think of it as building a muscle. Starting off, you choose a light weight and low reps. Then as it gets easier, you challenge yourself by adding more weight to your workout. Similarly, when you begin the practice of connecting with and growing your universal intelligence, you start with low-resistance thoughts and move up the scale as you begin to trust the process.
The body is your antenna to deeper connection.
Using the analogy of weight training and intuition is more than just conceptual.
The physical body plays a key role in our ability to connect to this inner-knowing. When you are deeply rooted in your physical experience, alignment with the intuitive experience comes with much more ease.
The simplest way to start connecting into your body is through a daily grounding practice. Taking a few moments each morning to deeply breathe, connect your feet to the floor as you roll out of bed, and take time to recognize and honor the physical vehicle that carries you through each day. You can do this through nourishment, movement and elimination of lower vibration experiences.
As you connect into your body, you will begin to tune in to the many ways that your intuition is speaking with you.
Be open to the possibilities.
The idea of intuition and to harness the universal intelligence and connection to this inner-wisdom, will be different for everyone. While many will experience information coming through “a-ha” moments and synchronicities, at times intuition manifests as outward signs, symbols and even random overhead conversations. Holding loosely to the way you believe your inner-knowing is communicating with you, allows for more recognition of this connection.
As you recognize and acknowledge the universal intelligence and your connection to this infinite wisdom, the muscle will grow stronger and more capable. You will begin to see how this internal GPS system can guide you along the path, even if you aren’t sure where the path is leading.
